Sup Everyone.Been reading in here for weeks trying different stuff to get fmcb installed on my Mc.not going well,read all the tut's i can find for my specific issue,tried the cog swap method,but couldn't get it to work,believe its the disks i'm using/method.so my 1st question is can i do the fhdb mod(i can soldier the wires np)then load whatever from there?if not can i load fmcb from cd's,dvd not reading did the cleaning pot adjust(980ohms atm)which seems to me more resistance less power to laser? If i read it wrong then maybe an option to retry.and what i belive to be last option buy a fmcb card,ok if thats my option then what method would i use to get it installed on system.thanks for any advice and help.also i used ps1 games for cog swap,i dont have any cd based ps2 there all dvd/BD. It should just work, once the HDD is connected to the PS2.If you copy somebody's disk image to your HDD, then you need to do scan & repair with WinHIIP as well, to repair the severed partition links.To complete things properly, you should re-install FHDB with the FMCBInstaller, so that HDD support will be formally activated on the PS2. You cannot use PS discs because the PS2's mode of operation will be wrong, so it will fail.If you only have DVDs, then use a recordable DVD. Please don't use crap discs either, as the PS2's laser is not always very good for reading burned discs.If you must use PS discs, you should look at the independence exploit. Only applicable to consoles older than the SCPH-50000, if I remember right.You also need to have a way to write the title.db file to a memory card (using some cheat device etc).There's also that (old, but usable to get somewhere) package for using the PS3 memory card adaptor, if you have one. Then you can't do this. Based on what was discussed in the video, you need to do these at the beginning:. Get the PS2 to boot a PS2 game. Swap the disc with a disc containing Cogswap.I'm sure it won't work if you used a PS disc, as it will load PS1DRV.

Even if the PS2 itself accepts your burned disc, the software will be expecting a PS game.Since this is a SCPH-70000, you will be unable to use FHDB as well. It depends by the discs and and writer used.With my Salcar usb 3.0 writer (same with a Samsung one, the laptop one and another from my old desktop PC) I can perfectly burn DVDs (they seems to be read better than the originals ) at 4x speed.CDs instead are not Always perfectly burned (some little stutter in FMVs). I have Verbatim CD-R that support 10x as minimum burning speed, and it's too much for my writer to do a perfect burn (I should buy CDs that support slower writing speed, but I still have dozens of them).Btw he doesn't need a perfect burning for this purpose, For it to not work, IMGBurn must fail the burning.

If the burning will end fine without writing errors, cogswap and Ulaunchelf will just start (maybe your FMVs of the burned copies wouldn't be perfect, but who cares!
